Original owner builder never offered for sale before. 516 BBC, V-drive, K monel shaft, Casselli strut, rudder and fin, steel 2 blade 11.5×15, 21% drive.
Finish line cav plate, russell tanks, 1350 prop shaft, custom install hardware,
SW gauges, Jones tach, Joe Factor bolts throughout, Patterson SS water cooled headers, Sanger gas pedal w/ morse cable. Just refurbished with new hoses and wires. Not run since ’96. Everything on boat was renewed. Engine only had about 4 hours on it but I freshened it up anyway.
BAD- I’m and engine builder and machinist I should not be allowed to work on wood. I screwed the deck up by putting to much epoxy on it so it cracked. The deck is solid but will have to be resurfaced by someone who knows what they
are doing. The bottom and stringers are excellent.
When I raced this boat in ’70-’71 with a blown 468 gas engine it ran 124 MPH.
It now has the same gear and prop as it raced with. This engine makes the same power as the blown engine used to. Driver should be able to handle this sort of performance.
Engine: I.m the owner of Latham Supercharger Co. We have our own engine shop including a Superflow dyno. This engine I built for myself and it dynoed just under 700 HP at 6500 with an 850 carb. But it showed intake vacuum and was flowing 950+ cfm. Therefore it needed more carb area. I have since changed it over to a tunnel ram with 2 625 cfm AFB carbs.
I have never tested or run it with this setup.
Mark 4 bowtie block bored to 4.530. 4340 crank and rods with ARP rod bolts and main studs. Manley forged pistons with JE rings. Dart 320 CNC ported heads with 2.3 x 1.9 SS valves. ARP head and rocker studs. Crower SS roller rocker and Crower custom length push rods. Comp Cams solid roller cam and kit. Mallory ignition, custom Aviaid pan and molidon oil cooler. All oil and fuel lines AN. Water hoses are silocon. Neovane water pump w/ new impeller.
The engine has been fired but the timing and carb adjustment has not been done since new intake was put on.
You can buy the boat without the engine if you like for 10K less.
